Nr 4 Innocent

Innocent No. 4 tells the story of a woman who met him while on holiday and experienced what felt like the happiest time of her life. She fell head over heels in love. When he hit her the first time, she dismissed it and chose to forget. The second time, she tried to forget again. After all, he was a good provider—shouldn’t she be grateful that he chose her to be his wife?

The illusion finally shattered when he beat her so badly that she woke up in the hospital. The blindfold came off, slowly and painfully. With the help of volunteers and psychologists, she is now living a decent, independent life. Yet Innocent No. 4 reminds us that survival does not erase fear—she still cannot help but look over her shoulder.
